The Opportunity: BoomerangFX is the fastest-growing AI-powered practice management platform in private-pay healthcare, operating across 6+ countries. We’re building the next generation of clinical AI — starting with Auvia, our autonomous patient engagement co-pilot — and we’re looking for an Senior AI Consultant who can turn large language models into reliable, compliant, production-grade healthcare software while leading and mentoring a high-performing AI engineering team in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
This is a highly hands-on role for a seasoned AI professional who thrives at the intersection of technology, business consulting, and innovation. You will design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions while working closely with leadership, product teams, software engineers, and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), and cloud technologies with the ability to identify opportunities where AI can drive measurable business value. You will play a key role in developing and scaling enterprise-grade AI solutions that directly impact customers across our global platform.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Solution Development Design, build, and deploy scalable AI and Machine Learning solutions. Develop production-grade applications utilizing LLMs, NLP, Generative AI, and intelligent automation. Architect and implement enterprise AI solutions that solve real business challenges. Create scalable and maintainable AI workflows and services. Generative AI & LLM Applications Build and optimize solutions leveraging OpenAI, Anthropic, and Azure OpenAI. Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks. Develop conversational AI, chatbot, and AI-agent solutions. Implement prompt engineering strategies and knowledge retrieval systems. Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies to enhance product capabilities. Azure AI & Cloud Architecture Deploy AI applications within Microsoft Azure environments. Work with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and related Azure technologies. Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and production-ready. Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture and cloud best practices. Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities and define solution strategies. Translate business requirements into technical AI solutions. Present recommendations, prototypes, and solution designs to stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor on AI capabilities and implementation best practices. Optimization & Continuous Improvement Monitor, evaluate, and improve AI model performance. Establish testing, validation, and evaluation frameworks. Drive innovation through research, experimentation, and best practices. Support AI governance, quality assurance, and reliability initiatives.
What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. 6–8 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Development, or AI Consulting. Minimum 5 years of hands-on Python development experience. Minimum 3 years building production-grade Generative AI, NLP, chatbot, or LLM-based applications. Strong hands-on experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, vector databases, AI agents, and workflow automation. Experience deploying and scaling AI solutions within Microsoft Azure environments, including Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Services. Strong understanding of LLM architecture, embeddings, model evaluation, and AI application development. Experience taking AI solutions from proof-of-concept to production. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Preferred Skills Experience in Healthcare SaaS or Healthcare Technology. Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring, and AI governance. Experience building enterprise-scale AI products and intelligent automation solutions.
Salary Range: $85,000- $95,000+10% Bonus. Equity: Eligible to participate in BoomerangFX Stock Option Plan after 6 months Location: This is a 5-day on-site role based in Mississauga, Ontario. ***** Immediate Joiners*****
