Registered Psychologist – Veteran Mental Health Services Location: Remote Position Type: Casual / Full-Time / Part-Time Organization: Superior Staff it Inc.
About Opportunity Superior Staff it Inc. is seeking a Registered Psychologist to provide high-quality mental health counseling services to veterans and their families through programs aligned with Veterans Affairs Canada. This role focuses on delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based care to individuals experiencing operational stress injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health challenges related to military service. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful, impact-driven work supporting those who have served.
Key Responsibilities Provide individual counseling and psychotherapy to veterans Conduct psychological assessments and develop treatment plans Deliver evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, trauma-focused therapy) Support clients experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, and substance use challenges Provide family and couples counseling as required Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaborate with case managers and interdisciplinary teams Participate in program reporting and outcome tracking
Qualifications Registered Psychologist in good standing with provincial regulatory body Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (trauma or mental health preferred) Experience working with PTSD, trauma, or military populations is an asset Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches Professional liability insurance Valid background check (Vulnerable Sector Screening)
Preferred Experience Experience supporting veterans, first responders, or high-risk populations Familiarity with occupational stress injuries and trauma-informed care Experience delivering virtual counseling services Knowledge of government-funded healthcare programs
