Knowledge, skills and abilities required: · Knowledge of established practices and procedures of professional nursing care; · Knowledge of trends and developments in the nursing field; · Ability to develop and implement nursing care plans; · Ability to communicate orally and in writing; · Effective interpersonal skills; · Initiative, judgment and reliability; · Cross-Cultural awareness; · Advocacy and assertiveness skills; · Ability to teach nursing practices and other relevant unit skills; · Basic computer literacy The successful candidate is required to have a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, be currently registered with Yukon Registered Nurses Association (YRNA) and have current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R) certification. Practicum placements during Degree program in areas related to acute care, any specialty service area (i.e. Maternity/ED), hospitals or health centers focusing on the health of First Nations, Inuit, Metis populations is desired. Requirements
Candidates must have a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, current YRNA registration, and CPR certification. Experience with acute care or First Nations, Inuit, and Metis populations is desired.
