WEST PARRY SOUND HEALTH CENTRE SEPTEMBER 30, 2026 JOB POSTING: OPSEU 2026-287 RAPID ACCESS ADDICTION MEDICINE CLINIC (RAAM) REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE Temporary Part-Time Position (September 2026 to approximately July 2027) This is an internal job posting open only to members of OPSEU Local 320. The hours of work are 8 hour shifts, including weekends. The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) will be an essential part of the RAAM Clinic, providing best practice assessment, treatment, navigation and support to individuals and families with substance use and/or concurrent disorders. The Wage Scale Is As Follows Start Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 $36.12 $36.41 $36.83 $37.35 $39.71 Basic Requirements Successful completion of an approved RPN program; A current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario; Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI); Completion of Medication Administration for R.P.N.’s; Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, performance levels, disciplinary history and positive work references; Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs; Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of the West Parry Sound Health Centre: Compassion, Accountability, Rights and Responsibilities, Excellence, and Safety. Preferred Qualifications Successful completion of the Canadian Nurse’s Association specialty program in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing CPMHN(C); Previous experience in Nursing Skills pertinent to Community-Based Outpatient programs. Requirements

Applicants must have completed an approved Registered Practical Nurse program, hold current College of Nurses of Ontario certification, and have current BCLS and NVCI certifications and RPN medication-administration training. The role also requires satisfactory attendance and performance, healthcare software knowledge, and alignment with the health centre’s core values; psychiatric/mental health nursing certification and community outpatient nursing experience are preferred.
