The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) will be an essential part of the RAAM Clinic, providing best practice assessment, treatment, navigation and support to individuals and families with substance use and/or concurrent disorders. The hours of work are 8 hour shifts, although some extended and/or weekend hours may be required. This posting is to fill a current vacancy. About The Opportunity WPSHC has an opening for Temporary Part-Time Registered Practical Nurses to join our team of skilled professionals. The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) will be an essential part of the RAAM Clinic, providing best practice assessment, treatment, navigation and support to individuals and families with substance use and/or concurrent disorders. The hours of work are 8 hour shifts, although some extended and/or weekend hours may be required. This posting is to fill a current vacancy. More About You You will need a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario to qualify for the role. You will also need to have: Successful completion of an approved RPN program; A current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario; Completion of Medication Administration for R.P.N.’s, medical asepsis, catheterization and IV training/education, combined with previous experience utilizing these skills; Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, performance levels, disciplinary history and positive work references; Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs; Courses in Behaviour Approach (such as P.I.E.C.E.S, GPA or restorative), would be an asset; Previous experience in Nursing Skills pertinent to Acute Care, would be an asset. Requirements
Candidates must have a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and successful completion of an approved RPN program. Additional qualifications include training in medication administration, medical asepsis, catheterization, IV skills, and relevant nursing experience.
