Locate and interpret clinical and laboratory data, apply task-specific guidelines, and complete standardized reviews accurately and consistently.
Job details
Hi all, Meta is hiring experienced inpatient Nurse Practitioners for a short-term clinical data review project. You will review de-identified inpatient health records and confirm that pre-populated answers to structured clinical questions are accurate and supported by the chart. This is structured data annotation work. It is not a clinical role, an advisory role, or a consulting role. You will work through a high volume of short, standardized review items in a web-based annotation tool, following a written guideline closely. If you like precise, detail-focused chart work, this is a good fit. What you will do Verify answers against the chart. Each item pairs a de-identified hospital stay with a structured question and a draft answer. Check the draft against the record (labs, vitals, medications, notes, orders) and mark it correct, incomplete, or not supported by the record. Correct what is wrong. When the answer is wrong or incomplete, enter the correct answer from the chart and a short reason. Work with lab and clinical data. Typical questions involve locating specific results during a hospital stay, classifying results against reference ranges supplied in the task, and describing how values change over the admission. Follow the guideline. Apply the thresholds and definitions provided in each task, even when they differ from your own institution's conventions. Use independent judgment. Draft answers are not always right. We are looking for reviewers who check the chart every time. Keep a steady pace. Most items take a few minutes. Accuracy comes before speed. Required qualifications Active, unencumbered U.S. NP license in good standing, with current national certification (ANCC or AANP). OR unencumbered Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in good standing with a Provincial or Territorial Nursing Regulatory Body, having passed the Canadian Nurse Practitioner Licensure Examination (CNPLE) Adult-Gerontology Acute Care (AGACNP), Acute Care, Critical Care, or Family NP with documented inpatient practice. Outpatient-only experience does not qualify. At least 3 years of inpatient practice in the last 5 years (hospitalist service, ICU/step-down, ED, or inpatient specialty service). Routine, independent ordering and interpretation of labs, including reference ranges and critical-value thresholds. Hands-on experience with inpatient EHRs: clinical notes, lab flowsheets, medication administration records, procedure and imaging reports, and ICD/CPT codes. At least two of the following: chart abstraction, clinical research coordination, registry abstraction, or utilization review. Available about 20 hours/week from Nov 2 to Nov 27, plus 2 training sessions the week of Oct 26. Your own reliable computer and internet connection. No equipment is provided. Details: Initial 1-month contract (potential to extend) Fully remote in USA or Canada. Flexible schedule. Must be able to start within 2-3 weeks Part-time or full-time: 20 or 40 hours/week $50-60/hour Specialized NPs (psych, acute care, oncology): $65-80/hour Nice to have Experience with Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, or Meditech. Quality-measure abstraction, CDI, or coding review experience. Prior data annotation work.Hiring process https://us.meta-ai.talentnet.community/jobs/f28aa3a8-5cfb-42c1-a609-0550bf56ad84
