Rotation/Shifts Days, 8 hour shifts. For information purposes only - The Hospital reserves the right to change. Basic Requirements Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario; Three (3) years recent cardiac surgery/cardiology experience; Demonstrated knowledge of advanced arrhythmia interpretation and 12 lead ECG interpretation; Previous experience in arrhythmia devices clinic; Demonstrated patient teaching ability; Excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently; Must be eligible to work in Canada. Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced). The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills. Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position and the level of interaction with French and English speaking clients. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Recent completion of Critical Care course OR Coronary Care course or Physical Assessment course; IBHRE Certification; Experience working with a patient database. Requirements
Required qualifications include registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, three years of recent cardiac surgery or cardiology experience, arrhythmia device clinic experience, and advanced arrhythmia and 12-lead ECG interpretation skills. Candidates must demonstrate patient teaching and interpersonal skills, be eligible to work in Canada, and have advanced oral and comprehension proficiency in both English and French; a nursing bachelor's degree and specified courses or certifications are preferred.
