About

We are a charity dedicated to helping people with complex mental health needs transform their lives. The people who use our services come from a wide range of backgrounds and have diverse mental and physical health needs. Some require short-term, intensive support following a mental health crisis, while others stay with us for longer periods. For these individuals, we provide not only specialist medical care but also therapies and personalised support to help them regain independence and move forward with their lives. Some patients come to St Andrew's towards the end of their lives. Our expert teams provide compassionate, high-quality care in a safe and comfortable environment, supporting both patients and their loved ones during this important time. Our services include specialist inpatient mental healthcare at our hospitals in Birmingham and Essex, outpatient services for people in Northampton and across the UK, and adult care services in Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. We also support and deliver research through our Research Centre to improve understanding and treatment of mental health conditions. In addition, we provide estates and non-clinical services on behalf of Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Across our hospitals, we provide treatment and care for people living with mental illness, developmental disorders and neurological conditions. We also deliver specialist support in community settings and through outpatient services, including for former members of the Armed Forces and people involved in the criminal justice system. Working closely with partner organisations, we help individuals transition from hospital into the community and continue their recovery journey.
