Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Registered Practical Nurse position in the Medical Surgical Department. The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital The duration of this temporary contract would be approximately until March 2028, or sooner as determined by RRHS Qualifications Required Registered Practical Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required. Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience within a hospital environment is required Minimum of two (2) years of emergency nursing experience is preferred Must possess current B.L.S. certificate Medication administration course completed. Medication administration experience preferred Well-developed Patient Assessment, Intervention and Evaluation skills. Ability to fulfil requirements of full-time shift rotation Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize patient care needs. Demonstrated ability to function productively in a very demanding environment. Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently. Demonstrated ability to function productively as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting. Demonstrated knowledge in the usage of various programs such as Cerner, Powerchart and Microsoft Office. Skilled with the interaction of patients and families to provide patient focused, goal oriented care. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality. Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions. Proven experience working in a fast paced environment. Able to manage multiple competing priorities. Strong communication skills with a patient centered focus. Requirements

Requires current registration and a Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, at least two years of hospital nursing experience, and a current Basic Life Support certificate. Medication administration training, strong assessment and communication skills, the ability to work all shifts, and familiarity with Cerner, PowerChart, and Microsoft Office are also required; emergency nursing experience is preferred.
