Job Code: 27630 Status: Full Time Location: Belleville, ON Union: LiUNA PM Wage: $29.96 - $31.09 Posting Period: October 3, 2026 - October 9, 2026 The Personal Support Worker (PSW) is valued member of the interprofessional Seniors Mental Health Behavioural Support Services Mobile Response Team (MRT) which is comprised of Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) and Personal Support Workers. The MRT provides direct care, intervention, and support to older adults living in a long-term care home (LTCH) or transitioning to a LTCH. Clients include those who are demonstrating responsive behaviours associated with the various types of dementia, delirium, mental health, addictions, or other neurological conditions. The PSW provides assistance with personal care and activities of daily living for program clients. Working in collaboration with the MRT RN and RPN, the PSW will enhance the quality of life for clients by participating in the observation of responsive behaviours; providing direct care and support; identifying triggers and successful strategies for responsive behaviours, assisting and modeling of these strategies in collaboration with LTCH or other health care team members . The PSWs work is conducted in a manner that is consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of Providence Care Centre. Skills And Qualifications Required Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized educational institution Eligibility to work as a PSW in an Ontario long-term care home in accordance with applicable provincial legislation and regulations Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a long-term care setting. Requirements

Requires a recognized Personal Support Worker certificate, eligibility to work as a PSW in an Ontario long-term care home, at least two years of long-term care experience, and at least six months supporting older adults with responsive behaviours and complex needs across care settings. A current unrestricted Ontario G Class driver's licence, clear driver abstract, and regular access to a reliable vehicle are required; GPA, U-First, and DementiAbility training or knowledge is an asset.
