We are searching for a team member responsible for business development and partnerships to join our new office in Montréal, Canada. The local team works together with internal partners from the other offices located in France, Brasil and Singapore.

About the role

As Head of Business Development & Partnerships, you will be responsible for the implementation and deployment of the commercial strategy for VirtualiSurg in Canada and North America. Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, you will be responsible for the financial profitability of your business by managing the commercial, operational and managerial aspects, while being in line with the values, strategy and operating methods of the company.

  • We look for a manager that has proven leadership level competencies such as operational experience, direct and indirect sales force management, and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Hands-on experienced manager who is looking to set up and manage a high potential business;
  • You are curious and demonstrate strong interest for virtual reality technology and immersive worlds;
  • You are already experienced or have transferable skills to interact with medical environment.

What you will do

  • As Head of Business Development & Partnerships in Canada, you will target primarily new business opportunities within MedTech and healthcare institutions in the local ecosystem;
  • Ensure the development of the customer relationship by creating and sharing the strategic vision and high-level customer lobbying;
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competency to lead and drive the institutional projects through business development and key account servicing;
  • Guarantee the performance of your perimeter through the management of the commercial activity;
  • Lead the entire sales cycle from initial opportunity creation finalizing the outcome of the opportunity, which includes prospecting campaigns, driving the discovery process in meetings with prospects and customers, forecasting, selling, and ultimately closing the deal;
  • Leverage trends and opportunities for growth areas that can further contribute to VirtualiSurg’s mission and develop strategies to finalize strong partnerships;
  • Manage and inspire the local team: recruitment and coaching;
  • Participate in internal team meetings to collaborate with the support ecosystem on opportunities, share best practices and work with cross-functional teams.

What you will need

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales / business environment, including 2 years within the healthcare / medical sector;
  • Higher education degree in engineering or from business school;
  • Qualified experience of key accounts and commercial lobbying;
  • Leadership and result-oriented vision;
  • Soft skills, including good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good written and spoken French and English (C1 level).
