Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Under the general supervision of the Director, Patient Services/Director, Central Support Services or designate, the Manager of Patient Care provides leadership for the health care team in promoting patient centered care. The Manager of Patient Care ensures that adequate human and material resources are available to support the 24-hour delivery of safe, quality patient care. The incumbent creates an environment that enables the Facility/Region to fulfill its mission and performance goals. The Manager of Patient Care seeks to promote and maintain a positive, professional, team oriented and service conscious environment. Demonstrates a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit.
Master’s Degree preferred.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the applicable policy.
