ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We have a great opportunity for a Director, Yuustway Health, Wellness and Recreation Services to join our dynamic and progressive First Nations government in North Vancouver.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Community Development this Director position is responsible for a 25+ person department with 4+ divisions and approximately 3 million budget in addition to the following departmental goals:
The position involves the development of annual strategic plans, relationship building, fiscal management of department budgets, health and recreation program delivery, staff management, events planning, communications and facilities management. Oversees the activities of five divisions with operations in North Vancouver and the Squamish Valley. This position requires the incumbent to operate at a high level of analytical, information processing and human interaction.

As career progresses, incumbent will be required to successfully complete job-required, short-term upgrading, training and courses relating to program design and coordination, outreach initiatives health care, policy writing, mediation, employment law, investigation, conflict resolution, case management and staff supervision and first nations healthcare systems, etc.
