Wood's Homes is a multi-service, non-profit children's mental health centre based in Calgary. Our over 550 staff and volunteers help provide 35 programs and services for 28,000 children and their families each year in Calgary, Lethbridge, Canmore, Strathmore, Fort McMurray and Fort Smith, N.W.T.


Commitment to high-risk adolescents, challenged with some very tough issues, is not easy and the reality is that most problems surface after hours. These are the times when our frontline workers spring into action. Work hours at Wood's Homes are typically round-the-clock and the type of work we do requires quick thinking, confidence, forgiveness and persistence.


We are currently seeking a Senior Clinician for our Outpatient Clinical Services and Intensive and Community Mental Health Programs.


Outpatient Clinical Services provides individual and family therapy along with specialized assessments for families and individuals in need within the Calgary area. Campus and Community Mental Health Programs serve significantly at-risk children, youth and families in need of out of home supports.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Senior Clinician will provide triage and coordination of therapeutic and placement referrals, assessment and treatment services as part of the outpatient clinical team, and clinical consultation. 


Hourly Rate Range: $32.00 to $45.00


RESPONSIBILITES include but are not limited to:


  • Providing triage for individuals and families seeking outpatient clinical supports
  • Providing triage for Calgary and Area and national Children's Services referrals for Campus and Community Mental Health Programs
  • Provides direct treatment services to a caseload of children, youth and families in the form of family, individual and group intervention, therapy, and assessment.
  • Can provide psycho-educational assessment and possesses a thorough knowledge of cognitive testing procedures and protocols.
  • Provides clinical supervision of select staff, other therapists, and students.
  • Provides clinical consultation and support to Wood's Homes programs on an as-needed basis.



  • A Masters or Ph.D. Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Family Nursing, Art Therapy, or a related field.
  • Possesses certification and additional formal education in psychological testing and/or clinical supervision (provisional and/or otherwise)
  • Is currently registered by the appropriate professional association.
