Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administering medications (within the paramedic's scope of practice), initiating intravenous (IV) therapy and administering fluids, performing blood collection, providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when required, conducting urinalysis, and performing pregnancy testing.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Grade XII required Completion of Primary Care Paramedic Certificate or equivalent Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Paramedicine (NSRP) to practice Current BLS-C (HCP) Previous work experience in a hospital setting or in emergency care preferred Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment and telecommunications skills Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.Hours Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly Compensation and Benefits $32.16 - $36.79 Hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. Requirements
