Job summary

We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at new Nechako Centre. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Inpatient Substance Use Withdrawal Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Reporting to the Withdrawal Management Unit Program Lead or designate and working collaboratively and in partnership with the multidisciplinary care team and partners, the nurse engages in the provision of holistic, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care. Through assessment and monitoring of each client, the nurse, in partnership with the patient/family and care team develops a plan of personal care and intervention to assist the individual in managing the medical symptoms of substance abuse withdrawal. Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)
