The Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients in the Emergency department, managing health issues ranging from non-urgent to life-threatening. They collaborate with an interprofessional team to assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care within a patient and family-centered model. Candidates must be a Registered Nurse practicing in accordance with the standards of the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). The role requires a specialized body of knowledge in nursing science and the ability to work rotating day and night shifts.
