Job summary
Mint Health & Drugs is seeking Health Care Aid/Assistant to join our team in Stony Plain, Alberta. Our pharmacy focuses on providing medical supplies to the community, providing compassionate care and expert advise on available medical aids to patients and their families. We work with the Aids to Daily Living program and private customers. Key Responsibilities Communication & Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for patients and families regarding their home healthcare needs Store Services: Offering walk in patients and existing patients assistance with products such as compression socks, mobility aids, hernia belts, and incontinence supplies etc. Administration: Billing to patients and applicable government bodies, receiving payments, reviewing accounts, and working with patients and their families during stressful situations. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: Previous experience in home health care: compression sock fittings, assessing suitability for walkers, assisting with selection of assorted medical supplies along with excellent customer service, and administration skills. Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills Organization: Strong organizational skills Empathy & Professionalism: High level of professionalism and empathy in handling patient situations. Software Proficiency: Kroll and POS experience would be an asset Education: Compression sock fitting certification, Health Care Aid Certification, or Registered Nurse would be ideal Flexible schedule : Typically Monday through Friday, some Saturdays as needed Job Context This role often requires working in a fast-paced environment, having a variety of tasks, and requires a compassionate personality that enjoys working with patients dealing with Cancer and various surgeries. Requirements
