The role We are looking for a Home Care Aide who takes pride in the quality of their work and understands that consistency is the foundation of good care. You will support clients in their homes with personal care, daily routines, companionship, and general household assistance, working to a care plan that is specific to each client and reviewed regularly. This is not a roster rotation position. At KindHavn, caregivers are matched to clients and stay with them. You will get to know your clients well, and that continuity is the point. What you will be doing Personal care support including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene Assistance with mobility and transfers Meal preparation and light housekeeping Medication reminders in accordance with the care plan Companionship and emotional support Documenting care notes and reporting changes in client condition to the coordinator Maintaining professional conduct and upholding client dignity at all times Requirements Active HCA certification and current registration in good standing with the CLHA (College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Healthcare Aides of Alberta) Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 6 months, or willingness to obtain prior to first shift Proof of negative TB test Medication Administration certification, or willingness to obtain Current First Aid and CPR certification Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle with valid insurance Physical ability to perform the duties of the role including lifting, transfers, and extended periods of activity Assets Experience in home care, long-term care, or hospital settings Experience with seniors, dementia care, palliative care, or postpartum support Comfort with mobile care documentation What KindHavn offers Consistent clients and consistent hours, not a different home every shift A coordinator you can actually reach when something comes up A care plan that briefs you properly before you meet a new client Competitive compensation paid on a T4 employment basis WCB coverage Part-time and full-time schedules available A professional environment that treats caregivers as the standard-setters they are How to apply Visit kindhavn.ca/careers or send your resume and cover letter to [email protected] with the subject line "HCA Application." Requirements

Active HCA certification and current registration in good standing with the CLHA is required. Additional requirements include a Vulnerable Sector Check, proof of negative TB test, and current First Aid and CPR certification.
