Reporting to the Regional Education Manager, the Paramedic Educator is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing activities and tasks as they relate to paramedic education to achieve CPER's goals and fulfil the obligations of the Performance Agreement. Through collaboration with local, regional and provincial partners\stakeholders, the Paramedic Educator's responsibilities include development, organization, and delivery of educational events, evaluation/training of new paramedics of the EMS operators and training for paramedics returning to work or who require remediation. 1. Bachelor Degree from a recognized university in a healthcare or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 2. Graduate of an Advanced Care Paramedic program or Primary Care Paramedic program recognized by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care 3. Diploma/certificate in Adult Education from a recognized institution (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 4. Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a paramedic educator 5. Demonstrated knowledge of associated Regulations and Standards related to prehospital emergency care 6. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and required software (i.e. Microsoft Office) 7. Demonstrated experience in adult education teaching principles, preferably in the prehospital care setting 8. Demonstrated experience in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of education programs 9. Excellent interpersonal and communication (strong written and verbal) skills, including presentation skills. 10. Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills 11. Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize workload and establish priorities 12. Demonstrated proficiency in the mentoring and development of staff and the ability to employ a variety of learning resources and teaching styles 13. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills 14. Demonstrated evidence of continuous learning in healthcare or related field

Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field and be a graduate of an Advanced or Primary Care Paramedic program. A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in paramedic education and a certificate in Adult Education are required.
