Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services and in collaboration with the Site Lead of Endocrinology and Metabolism, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the ENDOCRINE NURSE CLINICIAN is responsible for: providing quality nursing care to patients with endocrine and metabolic disturbances, through clinical practice, consultation, education, research and community services; and performing other related duties as assigned. Experience Minimum five(5) years related clinical experience required. One (1) year educational and clinical diabetes experience preferred. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Baccalaureate of Nursing preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Certification/Licensure/Registration Current C.R.N.M registration required. Certification as a Diabetes Educator (CDE) preferred. Qualifications And Skills Demonstrated organizational and planning abilities. Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated clinical and teaching expertise. Demonstrated leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to adapt readily to changing demands and situations. Previous experience in an expanded nursing role an asset.
