This role will suit Nurses who are seeking a few extra hours weekly and can commit to accepting up to 4 visits each week of 2 hours each for home care clients, around your regular full time role. At Nurse Next Door our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN's) and Registered Nurses (RN's) help seniors rekindle passions and interests while staying at home. We call it Happier Aging. Wage Ranges: LPN (homecare): $37 - 44/ hour plus km reimbursement policy What we offer: Competitive wages 24/7 Support available to assist Clients and our Care Team Flexible schedule (you tell us when you want to work!) with home visits ranging from 2 - 8 hours. Most visits are 2 hours long and are for wound care, injections, a Nurse Wellness Assessment or complex Nursing tasks such as tube feeds. When a palliative client or 24 hour client is onboard, shifts are 8 hours. Core Responsibilities: Must be willing to travel to ONE of the following communities for 2 hour visits: Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, and Mission At least 2 days each week of availability totaling 6 - 8 hrs per week of availability to work with our clients Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer, including all nurses duties plus personal care Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly Provide delegations of task or other training to care team Assess clients needs and report back to Care Designer with recommendation or complex care plans Function within the limits of your scope Requirements: Current LPN license in BC Wound care, assessment and palliative care experience is preferred. Technically savvy with mobile apps and G-suite TB test Criminal Record Check Current First Aid with CPR Excellent written and verbal English skills. Other languages an asset. Requirements
Must hold a current LPN license in BC, a Class 5 driver's license with reliable transportation, and current First Aid/CPR certification. Experience in wound care, assessment, and palliative care is preferred.
