(IHAL) is seeking dedicated, caring, and reliable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and Caregivers to support our clients in the comfort of their homes. We are currently recruiting for a dedicated support role assisting a young adult client living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. (DMD). What You Should Know Location: Mississauga, ON (client home) Mavis & Eglington Shift: Weekday schedule, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 8:30 am- 2:30 pm. What You’ll Do Personal Support & Daily Care Assist with full activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Perform seamless transfers and mobility support utilizing specialized home equipment (ceiling lift with sling, power wheelchair, and hospital bed). Assist with feeding and mealtime preparation in a dedicated vegetarian household (including vegetable chopping and next-day breakfast preparation under family guidance). Support online morning college classes (computer setup and standby assistance). Assist with prescribed physical exercises and range-of-motion routines following professional family training. Home Support & Health Assistance Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment following family direction. Provide medication reminders and monitor daily routines. Complete daily care reports and communicate observations effectively to the Case Manager and family.
