Position #: 9014443 Expected Start Date: October 15, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: St Josephs Hospital - SHA City/Town: Estevan Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: October 15, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse C $45.830 to $56.140 Travel Required: No Job description: Under the direction of the Primary Health Care Manager, the Registered Nurse (AAP) will be responsible for providing nursing services including the diagnoses and treatment of common medical disorders according to the Clinical Decision Tools and in conjunction with their clinical knowledge and judgment, in compliance with the RN with Additional Authorized Practice (RN AAP) Practice Standards within the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The RN (AAP) will support underserved populations within an urban setting providing care to clients in clinical and outreach locations. the RN (AAP) will support case management, navigation, assessment, triage of clients presenting, treatment of the presenting concern or connection and referral to an appropriate health care provider. Human Resources Exemption: No Licenses * Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Certificate (CTAS) * Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) Education * Graduate from an approved School of Nursing Experience * Minimum of two (2) years recent related nursing experience is required Knowledge & Abilities * Ability to promote effective relationships within the SHA and the community. * Ability to demonstrate appropriate level of professional conduct and judgement. * Demonstrates knowledge of the limited common medical disorders according to CDTs * Demonstrate communication skills to create positive outcomes/build relationships * Demonstrated independent nursing judgment in a community-based environment * Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking Other Education & Training * Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS) * Completed an application for authorized practice. * Completion of recognized nursing education course or a prior learning assessment Other Information * Must possess a valid driver's license and have a vehicle available for work. * Registered/Eligible for registration with CRNS as an RN(AAP) The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.
