The position will report to and work under the direction of a manager in one of the designated program areas. Practicing within Saskatchewan Health Authority policies, CRNS standards, and legislated NP scope, the NP assesses, diagnoses, treats, prescribes, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, performs authorized procedures, and evaluates care for clients with common acute illnesses, stable chronic conditions, urgent and emergent needs, and health promotion priorities as the most responsible provider (MRP). The NP works collaboratively with clients, families, physicians, multi-disciplinary teams, community partners, and managers to support safe, person-centred, culturally responsive, and coordinated care. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * Min. 3 years RN exp. in Emergency, Acute, LTC, Continuing Care, Primary Care Education * Master's degree in nursing Licenses * Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education & Training * Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS) * Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS) * Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) * Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) training Knowledge & Abilities * Knowledge of social determinants/resource evaluation for assessment/management plan * Integrates clinical knowledge/experience to support electronic documentation * Ability to work autonomously with high levels of responsibility & accountability * Ability to apply evidence-based decision making * Knowledge in research processes and program evaluation * Knowledge in chronic disease prevention and management * Ability to lead, mentor, and support staff in a collaborative team environment * Ability to take initiative * Ability to integrate clinical knowledge and experience into clinical practice * Adaptability for competing/changing patient priorities, situations, environment * Knowledgeable a trauma informed approach to patient and family care * Knowledge of diverse, culturally safe and representative workforce * Able to practice autonomously within SHA policies, clinical practice guidelines * Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. * Knowledge in wellness and holistic models of health care * Demonstrates capacity to plan, implement and evaluate multiple assessments * Ability to practice autonomously within NP scope, legislation, CRNS standards * Demonstrates skills in safety initiatives and service innovation * Knowledge in disease and injury prevention, health protection and harm reduction * Demonstrates leadership abilities * Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement * Respects Indigenous health priorities, community context, client values * Working knowledge in health promotion * Knowledge in consultation * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously * Demonstrates skills in clinical governance, research-informed practice * Proven conflict resolution skills * Knowledge of the diversity of cultures, values and traditions * Knowledge in significance of quality improvement * Communicates through therapeutic relationships, client and family education Other Information * Multisite position serving Primary Health Care * Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP) * Standby may be required. * Travel required to provide services within the area * May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives * May be eligible for the Rural and Remote Recruitment Incentive of up to $50,000 The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment. Requirements
