Position #: V48117 Expected Start Date: October 26, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Sunset Special Care Home City/Town: Regina Department: LTC Nursing Unit - East Wing Community Type: Full-time regular Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, Stats FTE: 1 Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of work: Standard hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: No Human Resources Exemption: No Job Description: Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Resident Care Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care and service is provided to residents/veterans on a given unit. As an experienced practitioner, the resident care coordinator acts in a leadership role to provide specialized clinical expertise, coordination of resident care, and support and teaching to the resident care team (including residents and residents' families) within a collaborative environment. The routine procedures are generally predetermined but critical thinking and independent judgment is an integral part of the position. Licenses * Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Education * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Experience * Minimum of three (3) years relevant long term care nursing experience Knowledge and Abilities * Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. * Facilitates the implementation/evaluation/design for client centered care model * Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving, conflict resolution skills * Knowledge of mental health needs of adults & families, & clinical interventions * Work as a team member, can establish & maintain interpersonal relationships * Ability to be self-directed * Ability to implement and support a collaborative working environment * Demonstrates ability to accept and implement change Other Education and Training * Nursing diploma is acceptable * Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable * Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable Other Information * Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) * For more information on the city of Regina please visit https://www.regina.ca/ [https://www.regina.ca/] * Registered/eligible to be registered with RPNAS (Reg Psych Nurses Assoc of Sask) * Scheduled hours of work may be reduced when a statutory holiday is recognized * Successful applicants will be assigned to a wing within the facility. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a relevant nursing/psychiatric nursing diploma and be registered with the CRNS or RPNAS. A minimum of three years of relevant long-term care nursing experience and a Basic Life Support certificate are required.
