Job summary
The successful applicant will be required to provide occupational therapy services to patients of the hospital with possible rotation among services (acute care, rehab and out-patient), carry out appropriate administrative responsibilities, promote understanding of the hospitals occupational therapy services, fulfill professional responsibilities and perform other related and allied duties within the Allied Health Services. Minimum Qualifications: must have successful completion of a Master’s degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy; must be eligible for licensing with the Prince Edward Island College of Occupational Therapists. demonstrated ability to work independently within the professional expertise and apply sound clinical decision making. demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment. demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. strong communication skills, both written and verbal. effective time management and organizational skills. Other Qualifications: demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development will be considered an asset. ability to develop and lead training sessions for clients and staff. have a valid driver's license and access to reliable means of transportation. have a good previous work and attendance record. additional relevant education and experience will be considered an asset.
