Perform various treatments and procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse according to nursing standards. Attend to patient’s physical needs. Assist in maintaining a safe, clean comfortable environment. Assist with pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure care according to facility standards or as directed by a Registered Nurse. Take and record vital signs. Assist with the orientation of staff and students. Other duties as required Qualifications: We are looking for candidates who possess: Successful completion of a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing Program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Prince Edward Island. Demonstrate application of knowledge of client’s physical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual needs, which includes clients with chronic illnesses. Current CPR/BCLS, TLR, WHIMIS All Hazards Codes, and annual recertifications required. Demonstrate a professional presence and model professional behavior. Knowledge of chronic illnesses required. Capable of sustained physical activity. A good previous work and attendance record.
