Job Summary And Requirements This posting This posting will be used to fill auxiliary on call positions working 75 hours bi-weekly. It will establish a 6-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions within Yukon EMS. This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon . Who We Are The Yukon's Emergency Medical Services (YEMS) team delivers a wide scope of pre-hospital care. We deliver medical interventions, treatments, and quality care in every corner of the Yukon. Who We Are Looking For As a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), incumbents will employ professional Primary Care Life Support skills to provide pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency medical treatment to the Whitehorse population. The PCP assesses patient condition in order to formulate a treatment plan and to initiate emergency interventions and non-emergency care to provide optimal patient wellbeing. This work is carried out in environments where there is limited medical support. Requirements

Must have completed a recognized paramedical education program and possess a valid PCP license from a Canadian governing body. Requires a Class 4 Yukon driver's license, TB screening, and a criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check.
