The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse provides recovery-oriented care and ensures effective linkage between hospital acute units and community mental health services. They perform crisis counselling, suicide prevention, and short-term follow-up to support children and adolescents while reducing hospital bed utilization. Candidates must hold a current practicing registration as an RN or RPN with the BCCNM and possess at least two years of recent experience in child and adolescent psychiatric or crisis settings. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle are also required.
