The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, and evaluating nursing interventions within an acute medical unit. They collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure effective care delivery and participate in discharge planning and quality improvement activities. Candidates must have graduated from an approved School of Nursing and hold current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Additionally, current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and relevant post-graduate coursework are required.
