The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in an emergency department by assessing, planning, and evaluating nursing interventions. They collaborate with an interprofessional team to ensure person-centered care and effective discharge planning. Candidates must be graduates of an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BCCNM. Completion of post-graduate coursework in emergency or equivalent experience is required.
