The Licensed Practical Nurse assesses, plans, and implements nursing care for patients undergoing outpatient procedures, including oscopy and minor surgeries. They also monitor patient conditions, document care, and assist the interprofessional team during pre, intra, and post-procedure periods. Candidates must hold current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the BCCNM and possess current basic cardiac life support certification. One year of recent relevant clinical experience in minor surgical or outpatient procedures is required.
