The AMCT Nurse provides person-centered care and treatment management for individuals with substance use disorders by developing individualized treatment plans and facilitating harm reduction strategies. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to monitor client progress, administer medications, and provide ongoing support and education to clients and their families. Candidates must hold current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BCCNM and possess at least two years of recent experience in substance use disorders. Eligibility for the BC Provincial Opiate Addiction Treatment Support Program course is also required.
