The Role We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in dentistry, with full training and support provided towards a recognised dental nursing qualification and GDC registration. You will work closely with clinicians and the wider practice team, gaining hands-on experience in both clinical and patient-facing duties. Key Responsibilities Assist dentists and hygienists during a variety of NHS and private treatments Prepare and maintain clinical rooms in line with infection control standards Decontaminate instruments and manage cross-infection protocols Support patient care before, during and after treatment Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with regulations Support reception duties when required, including patient communication and booking appointments Participate in training and coursework as part of your apprenticeship programme What We Are Looking For A strong interest in dentistry and patient care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A positive, reliable, and professional attitude Good organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn and commit to completing the dental nursing qualification What We Offer Structured apprenticeship programme with full support Career progression opportunities within Dentalcare Exposure to both NHS and private dental services Friendly and supportive team environment Ongoing training and development Opportunity to progress to a qualified Dental Nurse role upon completion Why Join Dentalcare? What you’ll do

Assist dentists and hygienists during NHS and private treatments while maintaining clinical rooms and infection control standards. Support patient care and handle reception duties including appointment booking and clinical record keeping.

Candidates should have a strong interest in dentistry, professional communication skills, and a reliable attitude. A commitment to completing the dental nursing qualification and GDC registration is required.
