Full-Time Occupational Therapist – Community Based Role in Victoria What if your workplace wasn’t just one location? Imagine starting your day with a home visit, spending your afternoon helping someone prepare to return to work, and finishing your day knowing that the strategies you provided are making a difference in your client’s everyday life. CBI Health is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our Community Rehabilitation Services team in Victoria, BC. This is an opportunity to work directly with clients in the places where rehabilitation matters most — their homes, workplaces and communities. You’ll use your clinical expertise, creativity and problem-solving skills to help clients overcome barriers, regain independence and return to the activities and roles that are meaningful to them. *WHAT YOU'LL DO/A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMUNITY BASED OT* Every day is different — and that’s what makes community OT so rewarding. One day you may be assessing a client’s home environment. The next, you could be completing a workplace assessment, supporting a return-to-work plan or helping someone regain confidence in their community. * Start your day: Review your schedule, client goals and upcoming visits, and connect with your team regarding any priorities. * Home assessment: Visit a client in their home to understand how their injury or health condition is affecting their everyday activities, identify barriers and develop practical strategies to support independence. * Community visit: Work with a client in their community to build confidence and support participation in meaningful, everyday activities. * Documentation & collaboration: Complete clinical documentation and connect with case managers, physicians, employers or other healthcare professionals regarding client progress and recommendations. * Workplace assessment: Visit a client at their workplace to understand the demands of their role, identify barriers and develop recommendations to support a safe and sustainable return to work. * Client follow-up: Review progress, provide education and strategies, and adjust the rehabilitation plan based on the client’s changing needs and goals. * Wrap up your day: Complete reports, plan upcoming visits and connect with your team as needed — knowing your work has helped someone take another step toward independence, recovery and returning to the life they want to live. WHY JOIN CBI HEALTH? * Competitive compensation with a comprehensive benefits and rewards package, including group health, dental and vision benefits, paid 100% by us * EAP mental health services – Virtual and In-person professional counselling accessible 24 hours, crisis and trauma support, health and life coaching and much more! * Paid vacation and sick days * A paid three-month welcome period, including structured training, mentorship and job shadowing geared to your career stage * On-going training, resources, free internal courses, as well as a yearly external education allowance of $1,000 for professional growth and development * On-going and regular mentorship and support provided by a seasoned Occupational Therapist (in-person and/or virtual) * Annual review of professional development goals, opportunities for career advancement, and skills development * A collaborative team environment, including peer support groups, quarterly in-person local team socials, and annual holiday team events. * Excellent administrative support, so you can focus on your clients! * Flexible hours and autonomy of schedule, which allows for a positive work-life balance and quality of life * Signing bonus included * $60-$72 per hour Visit us on Instagram to learn more about our team, work culture and impact on clients. WHAT YOU BRING * Registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC, or eligibility for registration. * Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and manage a community-based caseload. * A valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle. * Experience in community rehabilitation, return-to-work, vocational rehabilitation, mental health, chronic pain, concussion, neurological or musculoskeletal rehabilitation is an asset.
