What You Bring… Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Preference to candidates with extensive knowledge & skills working with residents with types of dementia, delirium, mental health, addictions, other neurological conditions, and/or acute behavioural changes. Training/knowledge of PIECES, GPA, U-First, Teepa Snow GEMs, PAC, Mental Health First Aid, Non-violent crisis interventions, DementiAbility, and any other courses required by Behavioural Supports Ontario, or willingness to receive training. Demonstration of maturity and responsibility, as well as leadership qualities. Geriatric long-term care experience. Good interpersonal skills, specifically enhanced knowledge of family and caregiver needs, are best served by a behavioural support system. Familiarity with RAI documentation & care planning functions. Familiar with WHMIS regulations and completing tests. The pay rate is $36.06 to $54.59 per hour, and the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement. Requirements

Candidates must have current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and geriatric long-term care experience. Relevant behavioural-support knowledge or training, familiarity with RAI documentation and care planning, WHMIS knowledge, and strong interpersonal and leadership qualities are sought; training may be provided for candidates willing to learn.
