Position Overview Calian is currently seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to deliver treatment services to military personnel at the medical clinic situated at CFB Trenton. Responsibilities Providing occupational therapy services to adult patients with orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, and pre- and post-surgical conditions. Assessing patient needs and developing individualized rehabilitation and treatment plans. Supporting recovery and functional independence for patients with complex injuries, including poly-trauma, traumatic brain injuries, and amputations. Delivering interventions across a range of rehabilitation areas such as physical, cognitive, and mental health. Recommending and implementing assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and home or workplace modifications. Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care, discharge planning, and return-to-work or transition goals. Providing consultation, guidance, and oversight related to occupational therapy practices as required. Contributing to the development and implementation of comprehensive rehabilitation programs. Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as an Occupational Therapist with adult populations, including orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, and pre- and post-surgical cases. Experience supporting complex injuries such as poly-trauma, traumatic brain injuries, and amputations. Experience in at least four (4) rehabilitation areas, including upper extremity injuries (including amputations and splinting/bracing), chronic pain assessment and treatment, cognitive or mental health rehabilitation, home access assessments and discharge planning, provision of assistive devices, injury prevention and ergonomics, driving rehabilitation, or vocational rehabilitation. Experience in at least two (2) practice areas, including working within a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team, providing occupational therapy consultation, overseeing occupational therapy services, managing pre- and post-surgical conditions (including complex injuries), or designing and implementing comprehensive rehabilitation and return-to-work or transition plans. Registered and licensed in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Additional Requirements You must be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level. Current certification or willingness to obtain CPR Level C with AED Compensation $50 – $55 per hour (based on expereince) Vacancy We have 1 available position. Requirements
Must be a registered Occupational Therapist in Ontario with at least one year of experience in adult populations and complex injuries. Requires the ability to obtain Government Security Clearance and CPR Level C certification.
